This course explores fascia through interactive slideshows and hands-on activities. Participants learn about fascia formation by fibroblasts, including challenges related to scar tissue and the functional roles of various fascial types in the body. Additionally, it covers methods for fascial breakdown. Through movement exploration, participants experience fascia's elasticity and response to different forces, emphasizing its importance and exploring fascial recoil. Basic hands-on exercises enable students to feel and differentiate between fascial layers, understand glide versus resistance, and appreciate fascial diversity across the body. Designed for healthcare professionals, including massage therapists, physical therapists, personal trainers, yoga and pilates instructors, acupuncturists, and more, this course provides essential insights into fascia dynamics and their relevance across various practices. This course is accredited for CEU credits with the NCMTB.
